Lots of actors have a perception that marketing is gross or icky.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
At the end of the day marketing is about creating relationships. Relationships happen between human beings. Human beings connect with one another. Which means all marketing really is about is connecting.
That doesn’t sound gross or icky, does it?
Today my good friend, my client and a pretty kick ass guy, Lucas Van Engen is here to share his experience of marketing way outside the box. This is not a story about sending another postcard!
Check out what Lucas did to create a pretty sweet party called Trailer Cash, where he was able to meet and network with a whole lotta NYC filmmakers all under one roof.
We couldn’t help but crack jokes almost the entire time, but we did cover some valuable stuff along the way.
Check it out:
In case you missed it within all that *brilliant and witty banter* here are some big take away’s from Trailer Cash:
Lucas didn’t know how to make it happen, but that didn’t stop him.
He focused on what was right in front of him. He says somewhere in there the question he kept asking was “What do I need to do TODAY to make this happen.”
When you have a goal, even when you’re not sure exactly what to do, just putting one foot in front of the other (and not giving up) will get you there.
Check out Trailer Cash right here:
It’s pretty awesome.
