Get out of your head, girl
Hey.
You know that thing you’ve been meaning to do? Stop thinking about it and just do it.
You know that person you’ve been meaning to follow up with, but you feel like you dropped the ball and it’s been so long, they probably won’t even remember you, why should you even bother, you missed the opportunity you should just forget it about?
Stop thinking about it. Just do it. Follow up with them. It’s not a big deal.
That webseries you’ve been meaning to write for such a long time you don’t even know how long it’s been? Stop talking about it. Stop saying “someday.” Start it today.
I’m serious. Just do it, already.
Is there a friend you’ve been meaning to get back in touch with? Someone you need to let know that you love them? An exercise program you’ve been thinking about getting started? Whatever it is, just freakin’ do it already!
We waste so much time on the wrong things. Thinking about getting started, waiting for inspiration, trying to get it perfect, figuring it all out before taking the first step.
None of that stuff matters. It’s scarier to hem and haw, to be full of dread and anxiety and “what if’s” than it is to simply just do it.
Trust me.
If you’ve been wasting a lot of time stuck in your head, remember that life is short. And the sooner you get going, the faster you’ll get what you want.
Everyone makes mistakes.
Most of our mistakes are not make-or-break. And the truth is that a wrong action is better than no action. If you take a wrong turn, now you know. And you can make a better choice the next time around.

Just do it already
Get out of your head.
Get into action.
Don’t over think it.
Just do it.
Leave a comment. What have you been thinking about maybe possibly doing one of these days? Write it down. And commit to taking action on it TODAY.

Yes, ma’am!
Great advice, couldn’t have come at a better time! Thanks Emily! Press through, & Take ACTION!
So glad to hear it, Jordan! Love to hear your progress report.
It seems as if I’m always in my head, especially where my career is concerned. I don’t have enough money to move to L.A., it’s too late (age), what if it doesn’t work out? This is what I deal w/daily — all day. Right before I moved into my own apartment when I lived in N.Y. a friend of mine said, “you may be stressed about everything now, but when it’s done you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.” She was right. I’m still hesitant but jumping off the bridge(figuratively) might be just what I need.
Hey Lisa, my coach likes to say that the decision comes first, then the resources show up. Most of us wait for the resources before we’ll make the decision. One of my favorite quotes is, “Look before you leap. Then LEAP!”
